I chose the latter. And here’s what happened.

My close friends and family remember how debilitating my experience with Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria (CIU) — commonly known as hives — was.

For almost a year:

  • I couldn’t perform any workouts.
  • My strict diet robbed me of my appetite and joy in eating.
  • Sleepless nights became my new normal due to constant itching.

 

In short, the quality of my life was miserable.

But then, I experimented with a 3-step process for natural healing that not only helped me get rid of this relentless skin condition but also strengthened my immune system to shield me from future ailments.

During my experience with hives, I tapped into spirituality on top of emotional traumas. It gave me clarity and purpose. Here’s what I learned:

  • Your unconscious mind will serve you challenges until you fully embrace this lesson.

Here’s what I discovered:

I used affirmations and 432 Hz healing sounds to train my mind and shift my focus from sickness to wellness. Once I started radiating positive emotions, my body followed suit. My cells collaborated to boost my immunity and repair my health.

Through experimentation with various frequencies, I discovered that 432 Hz resonated most deeply with me. I made it a ritual to meditate with this sound, particularly when my brain was in a theta state — the optimal period for subconscious reprogramming, which happens right after waking up or just before falling asleep. Below is one of the videos I frequently used to activate my parasympathetic nervous system and promote deep relaxation.

3. Practice Self-Love Daily

Self-love is not selfish — it’s necessary for healing.

Here are the rituals I practiced to fill my cup first:

  • Mindfulness: Daily meditation brought peace and clarity.
  • Prioritizing Sleep: Quality rest is non-negotiable for recovery.
  • Work Environment Improvements: I adjusted my workspace to be more ergonomic.
  • Nutrition: I focused on eating what my body needed rather than what I craved.
  • New Hobbies: Since intense exercise wasn’t an option, I picked up writing as a creative outlet.

When you truly love yourself, you won’t let others’ actions or words harm you. You’ll set boundaries, protect your energy, and prioritize your well-being.
